This is how I got ready to pick up my Scamp 13 for the very first time. I have also included items I used to secure it and make it safe to sleep in overnight while dry camping on my way home. Additional items will be needed if you are planning to use the sewer and water while camping. You can see those Scamp Essentials Simplified in this post.
Items I used in this video:
- CURT 2″ Trailer Hitch Ball
- CURT 2″ Drop Hitch Ball Mount
- CURT Trailer Hitch Lock Pin
- CURT 7-Pin Trailer Wiring Tow Vehicle Socket Tester
- Ultra-Seal Corrosion-Preventive Sealant
- Orange Wheel Chocks
- Black + Yellow Wheel Chocks
- Camco Leveling Blocks: to clarify, these go under the wheels to level the trailer. Stabilizer jacks are not to be used for leveling.
- Trailer Coupler Lock
- Proven Industries 2-Inch Trailer Coupler Lock
- Chock + Lock 2 Pack (keyed alike)
- Locking Lug Nuts (1/2 in thread size)
- Dual RV Propane Lock
- Lug Wrench: Not shown but used to tighten lug nuts on drive home
